Unique Luxury Tented Accommodation

One of the things that set our lodge apart is our luxury 5-star tented accommodation and the five tented camps will take your breath away.  They are all situated within walking distance of the main lodge and the pathways leading to them are lantern-lit in the evening.  The five camps are:

  • Rafiki (which means “friend”)
  • Matumba (“calabash containing magic potion”)
  • Kifu (“desire”)
  • Madiba (“old man”)
  • Utambo (“space”)
  • Safiri (“journey”)

 

This is your chance to truly experience the “wildlife” in wildlife accommodation and embrace a true African experience, because the tents are completely private and on nature's doorstep.  The tents are 5-star, king-size, Colonial-style tents under thatch that accommodate two people each and a private sun deck and balcony are also standard at each unit.  This is tented accommodation unlike you have ever experienced!

Adding to the luxury accommodation in our 5-star tents are the mistrial Victorian-style en-suite bathrooms under thatch and totally private outside shower for two.  The bathrooms themselves are really something special too: tasteful copper and brass fittings perfectly complement the ball and claw bathtubs and the His & Hers basins.  Be in touch with Africa's unspoilt beauty in a tented environment with all the advantages of a luxury suite and none of the disadvantages of traditional camping.

 

Luxury Suites

If you are into somewhat more traditional wildlife accommodation, we certainly have plenty to offer at our main lodge complex, where our luxury suite is decorated in a true African style.  These luxury suites include:

  • Rhino room: a queen-size luxury suite with en-suite bathroom (shower only) and a private balcony with partial Bushveld view.
  • Cheetah room: another queen-size unit with full en-suite bathroom and private balcony and unrestricted view of the waterhole.
  • Elephant room: a larger, king-size unit, with full His and Hers en-suite bathrooms (one with a bath and the other with a shower), private balcony and partial bush view.

 

Presidential Suite: the Royal African

Well away from the main lodge – but within walking distance – is our ultimate expression of wildlife accommodation in the form of the superbly luxurious, very exclusive and totally private presidential suite called the Royal African.  The epitome of grandeur and opulence, the Royal African immerses you in the sounds of nature and offers unhindered view of the surrounding Bushveld.  Distinguishing features are:

  • Separate WC and bidet
  • Private viewing deck with plunge pool
