Have you come to believe Limpopo game reserves are ten a penny and do you struggle to remember of how many different ones you have heard, each claiming to be different to the rest? There may be many game lodges on game reserves, but the truth is that there are some delightful exceptions to the rule that will make you remember them for a long time yet. Another handy piece of information that will no doubt impress you is that you would only have to travel 150 km north of Pretoria to find the jewel amongst game lodges.
The Location: Just Right
This location near Modimolle is rather nearer to Gauteng than many of the Limpopo game reserves and serves as the perfect place for a five-star game lodge, but why? This area is advantageous for so many reasons:
- In terms of driving: only 150 km from both Pretoria and Polokwane and 200 km from Johannesburg
- In terms of flying: near Modimolle, which has its own airfield, and 150 km from both Lanseria and O.R. Tambo international airports

The Luxury Suites
While there are several Limpopo game reserves that tick a majority of these boxes, very few, if any, deliver on all fronts and if we have to select one feature that sets us apart as something different, it would be our tented accommodation.
But first, have a look at what we have to offer at the main lodge complex in terms of our luxury suite five-star accommodation. 
Several units are offered and some have queen-sized beds while other have king-size beds; all have en-suite bathrooms, either with a shower or with both a shower and a bath. All are equipped with fans, heaters, hairdryers, telephones, in-room safes and mini bars, but the Royal African presidential suite also boasts a private outside shower for two, DStv, a lounge and a fireplace.
The Tented Camps
While some Limpopo game reserves' lodges may offer some form of tented accommodation, few, if any, goes to the lengths that we do to offer you a five-star tented accommodation experience. Six tented camps are all walking distance from the main lodge and the pathways are lantern-lit; you will notice the colonial-style tents under thatch all have private decks and private outside showers for two, as well as fully equipped en-suite bathrooms. This is tented living close to nature, but without any of the disadvantages of camping; rather, you enjoy all the luxuries of our five-star lodge suites.
African Wildlife at its Best
This area of the Bushveld has some of the most spectacular African wildlife found in South Africa.
