Safari Lodge
A Safari Lodge To Move You
A safari lodge does not live up to its name if it cannot guarantee you an authentic African experience and offer you the true magic of the Bushveld. You would be pleased to learn that you do not have to travel to the far reaches of Kenya to discover a corner of Africa that will surprise and delight you. Instead, you would have to travel north on the N1 highway for less than two hours (from Johannesburg) to find it; this malaria-free area is situated at the foot of the Waterberg.
The Perfect Location
There are several reasons why this is the perfect location for a safari lodge:
- It is less than two hours from Johannesburg and only 90 minutes from Pretoria to the south and Polokwane to the north
- It is far enough from the city to give you all the advantages of an authentic Bushveld experience in absolute peace and quiet
- It is not so far north that you enter the hotter, malaria areas
- It is less than 40 km from Modimolle, which has its own airfield
The Perfect Accommodation
Of course, our safari lodge is about more than just location, and our accommodation options are nearly unmatched in their variety and on par with the best in terms of their 5-star rating. Standard with all our suites are the African style, private balconies and superb views.
- Rhino Room: this suite is queen-sized and has an en-suite bathroom and private balcony
- Cheetah Room: similar to the Rhino Room, but with a view of the waterhole
- Elephant Room: this is a king-sized suite with similar amenities to Rhino and Cheetah, but with His & Hers en-suite bathrooms (one contains a shower and the other a bath)
- Royal African: this is a presidential suite with the highest levels of opulence and amazing views; other notable features include the stretch-out space, a lounge, a fireplace, DStv, outside shower for two, separate WC and bidet, private plunge pool, absolute privacy, personal service and en-suite bathroom with His & Hers basins and ball & claw bathtub
True Safari Lodge Accommodation: Luxury Tents
Now for something a little different, to put the “safari” in “safari accommodation” – our luxury tent option is certainly unique. The king-size tents are decorated in a Colonial style and there are six tented camps to choose from, offering you privacy within walking distance of the main lodge. This puts an entirely new spin on tented accommodation, complete with an outside shower for two, en-suite bathroom, brass & copper fittings and a sun deck.
What is Included?
Our 5-star safari lodge will leave you lacking for nothing and included in all our accommodation facilities are a heater, hairdryer, fan, coffee and tea facilities, in-room dining option, mini bar, private deck, room safe and en-suite bathrooms. Included in our accommodation rates are your welcome drinks and a fruit plate upon arrival, late-afternoon canapés, early-morning tea and coffee, full breakfast, a 5-course Table D'hôte dinner, two game drives per day and your Conservation Fee.
Activities Offered
There is a lot to do at our safari lodge too, as well as several activities in the immediate area. If you opt for a guided walk, you will be accompanied by a trials guide that will help make the most of this experience for the botanist, bird watcher or dendrologist. Night game drives are offered too, as well as silhouette shooting and visits to nearby historical and archaeological sites. If you prefer to relax at the lodge, you can do so by the swimming pool or the decadent African spa.
