In terms of accommodation, many game lodges and destinations in South Africa vie for your attention and it becomes difficult to distinguish which of these really have a unique selling proposition worthy of your consideration.  Our game lodge certainly offers an unusual combination of features that you are unlikely to find anywhere else.  Consider the following:

Unique Tented Accommodation

Not all game lodges allow you to enjoy dreamy Bushveld destinations with all these accommodation options and the most remarkable of these has to be our luxury tented accommodation.  Forget everything you know about a tent, because our luxury tents have absolutely nothing in common with the rickety rag of canvas that nearly blew away and left you sodden and devoured by mosquitoes the last time you tried camping.  We have put an entirely new spin on tented accommodation and our tents are equipped to the same five-star standards as our other accommodation options.

Unlike all the other game lodges, we make tented living in stunning Bushveld destinations a pleasure and our tents are proper log constructions under thatch; fully in touch with nature, but sturdy and luxurious.  The tents are arranged in no fewer than six tented camps:

  • Matumba (means “magic potion”)
  • Kifu (“desire”)
  • Utambo (“space”)
  • Safiri (“journey”)
  • Madiba (“old man”)
  • Rafiki (“friend”)

These Colonial-style tents have thatched en-suite bathrooms too, and a private outside shower for two; other standard comforts include a stocked mini bar, an in-tent dining option, complimentary tea and coffee, a private deck with spectacular Bushveld views, a hairdryer, a fan, a heater, an in-room safe and a choice of a king-size double bed or two single beds.  All the tents are within walking distance of the main lodge and the pathways are lantern-lit at night.


Luxury Suites Too

Of course, like other game lodges, we can offer you a slightly more traditional luxury suite option too, but instead of offering standard suites like most Bushveld destinations, we offer you a choice of several different types of suites:

  • Rhino Room and Cheetah Room are queen-size suites; the former offers a shower-only en-suite bathroom and private balcony and the latter, unhindered bush views with a private deck overlooking a waterhole.
  • Elephant Room is a king-size unit with His & Hers en-suite bathrooms (one has a bath and the other a shower) and private balcony.
  • Royal African is a presidential suite and the ultimate expression of grandeur and regal opulence. What sets it apart is its absolute privacy, personal service and amenities like a lounge with fireplace, DStv, a private plunge pool and a private outside shower for two.
