African Wildlife
Enjoy The African Wildlife In 5-Star Luxury
Equidistant from both Polokwane and Pretoria (150 km) sits a Bushveld lodge unlike any other where you can enjoy the unspoilt African wildlife – and the good news is that its location means that is not far from the major Gauteng cities. Even Johannesburg is under two hours' drive away, so this lodge is still a perfectly viable option for a quick weekend breakaway, because you would not have to spend half a day travelling to get there. In fact, if you leave shortly after lunch on a Friday, you can still enjoy several hours of daylight after having moved into your five-star unit.
Many Activities to Choose From
The activities on offer at our lodge are designed to help you make the most of your weekend or vacation with us and among the most popular ones are the game viewing activities that bring you close to the African wildlife.
A game viewing drive in an open game viewing vehicle is always something to savour and we conduct these drives both during the day and at night. The early morning drive is perhaps the most rewarding, because you get to see a lot of animals as they emerge from their burrows.
If you are lucky, you will also spot some very scarce African wildlife like the golden mole, which is only found in this part of the Bushveld. Besides the golden mole, you are also likely to spot African wild cat, serval, hyena and leopard.
Avid bird watchers will relish the opportunity to spot a few tickers and there is no shortage of them: over 300 bird species inhabit this part of the Bushveld, including the very rare brown snake eagle and lizard buzzard.
Five-star Luxury Lodge
A five-star grading means that you can focus on how many members of the splendid African wildlife you can spot and you do not have to be concerned that your accommodation will lack for anything. Standard in all out suites are:

- en-suite bathrooms
- in-room safe for valuables
- stocked mini bar
- in-room dining

If you decide to opt for the extremely luxurious presidential suite (the Royal African), you also gain DStv, a private plunge pool, an outside shower for two and a lounge with a fireplace.
While our luxury units are competitively priced, the spectacular African wildlife views are free for all; you would also be pleased to learn that the following are included in your rate at no extra charge:
- your Conservation Fee
- a full breakfast
- two game drives per day
- use of the lodge's swimming pool
- a five-course Table D'hôte dinner

We also offer many activities as optional extras, should you care to indulge in something a little different and a sound example is guided walking tours, which afford you an opportunity to experience and appreciate the African wildlife up close and personal. Valet and laundry services are offered too, as are transfer services (like private charter drop-offs and collections), spa treatments in the comfort of your own room and sports like silhouette shooting and croquet.
