Experience Nature Like Never Before
In this modern 21st century era, in which urban space is at a premium, because of the multitude of attractions of urbanisation, and rapidly increasing population, privacy is precious, since almost anything private is generally now deemed exclusive.
For many, nothing comes close to or beats the seclusion, peace, tranquillity, and the stress-free ambience of going back to nature periodically, ideally to a beautiful, pristine rural or wilderness region of South Africa – like Limpopo, where nature and wildlife proceed at their own age-old, seemingly leisurely pace, as dictated by the sun, moon, seasons, and weather.
Private Game Lodge Facilities
Luxurious accommodation is typically a prerequisite of those who do not wish to relinquish their creature comforts, irrespective of where they are. When a getaway destination to a bushveld region – like the Waterberg area of Limpopo – also offers private game lodge accommodation, combined with world-class facilities, amenities, and services, it represents a perfect choice.
Multilevel Privacy Policies
Zwahili Private Game Lodge & Spa, a jewel in the gorgeous crown that is South Africa’s legendary Limpopo Province, is a grand example of Limpopo’s collection of exclusive private game lodges. The game reserve, in which our lodge is situated, is not open to the broader public, because it is independently owned.
Its guest-admission policies are multilevel, the first being the conservancy area’s private status, as stated above, and the second being the similar status of the game lodge itself, which accommodates a maximum number of 20 adults simultaneously – no more – at any given time. Limited guest numbers equate to more exclusive utilisation of resources, amenities, features, and attractions.
Guest rooms and suites are also entirely private, with facilities and features to match. This also applies to the three luxurious rooms within the main lodge building. The additional seven suites are situated apart from the main building and apart from one another, again ensuring the exclusive seclusion of each room and its peace- and solitude-seeking occupants.
A spa, although unexpected in an untamed Limpopo bushveld game reserve setting, is by its very nature a place of tranquil, discreet privacy, whilst a marvellous menu of 10 spa treatments wait to tempt your senses, soul, body, and spirit.
Game Viewing and Birding
Our guests go out into the reserve in an open all-terrain game viewing vehicle, or take a bush walk on foot, accompanied by an experienced guide, who shares sightings and interesting information on the fauna and flora encountered along the way.
More than 400 species of feathered friends have been spotted at our lodge, which is close to the Nylsvley Nature Reserve, a 40 km2 protected conservation area and bird sanctuary that undoubtedly also feeds our bird population and our wide variety of nature’s winged wonders.
Conserving Kings of the African Beasts
Because our lodge and spa is so incredibly rich in an abundant variety of indigenous game and flora species, some guests query the perceived absence of the African lion, the alpha predator of the African plains and bushveld.
When all is said and done, and scientists and geneticists indicate that the time is right, these magnificent big cats will once again roam and hunt prey at Zwahili Game Lodge & Spa.
We are committed members of the gene preservation Panthera Leo project, working towards re-establishing the original gene in Limpopo’s lion population, true to that of 150 years ago. Until then, our lions are housed in separate segregated camps in a currently restricted, secluded area.
The sweet, pure air in our pristine environment ensures that our guests work up an appetite for delicious gourmet fare, which is served in our restaurant, boma, on a secluded bushveld picnic, or al fresco, on the deck of your private game lodge suite.
It is always a good time to visit our lodge, so we look forward immensely to welcoming you to one of Limpopo’s exclusive delights.
